Depends greatly on where your planning to go. For most cold regions, Carhartt would be my goto due to it being durable and warm. But if your in a wet region like the PNW, goretex outter wear is a must. Deserts, you might be better with desert type camo and light weight materials. There's no one answer, brother

Yeah that is true. If a nuclear attack, wouldn't the weather change a lot though?

if there's a nuclear attack, trust me, you've got WAY bigger problems than trying to figure out what to wear. And more importantly, until the fallout dissipates or reduces in nuclear shit, you will NOT want to leave a closed/sealed environment.

Dirty work pants and long sleeve shirt, a good pair of dusty boots, and a hat with some brim which makes your face harder to see from all angles. Don't look like a good target, don't stick out, be forgettable. Look poor.

Sweat pants, ghillie suits, Carhart overalls fit the bill for most work related duty.

Probably a button down and khakis is fine. Blazer if cold. I try not to overthink these things.
