I carry a bag of spare clothes year round now, saves having to anticipate the weather and getting it wrong.

Add 3' of fence wire to that list, saved me a few times fixing loose stuff. likewise a long wheel nut wrench, the tiny one they give you may not remove a tight nut. also gloves and handwarmer packs, you can't fix anything if your hands freeze up

likewise a small toolkit, spare bulbs and fuses and some electrical wire

they do USB li-on chargeable torches now, don't rely on some AA alkaline junk, they die in the cold

snowboots, because if you have to walk to get help, you won't want to do it in the trainers you left home in
