I agree. These shit for brains who say things like: "the founders never imagined automatic weapons", when the concept was already being thought of and or built before the Declaration of Independence was thought.

The founders understood evolution of technology. Evolution of war. The civilians usually had better rifles at that time as well. So the concept that I shouldn't have what the Military has is absurd.
If everyone has fire power, people are less opt to use it knowing everyone else has the same or better. Any threats are easily quelled by quick responses of those armed around the threat.
More guns = safe(r) world
The whole concept of the Army is to disarm the population by relieving the duty of protection by Militia to the hands of a controlled system or standing Army.
