pic8 redirects TOR traffic
Hard choice, but made to significantly reduce abuse of pic8 by those uploading illegal shit (not DMCA related) via TOR exit nodes.
Believe me when I say I understand your indignation regarding blocking tor traffic. And though it is just the word of a random, pic8 does not store IP addresses. All logs are pruned after a few days.
Some work being done to only block tor exit nodes from uploading, but allow viewing/downloading of images via tor.
Open to any suggestions of how to avoid the abuse from tor while still allowing tor uploading.
If I could view pic8 images using TOR that would be fine for me.
For uploading perhaps TOR uploads could require some approval process? Or there could be some way for users to flag content. I understand that would require some development work though.
the approval process for tor uploads wouldn't be a bad idea, requires quite a bit more work than just blocking tor only for uploads. starting with the latter and working towards the former.
