Answer: No, you do not.
You're taking randoms at their word when they say they're not abusing your data. Some don't (pic8). But again, you can never be 100% sure unless you are running the bitch.

On my computer I remove it myself.
But on mobile I use an app, and don't know if it always works. So it's extra piece of mind that it supposedly gets scrubbed twice.
