I tried to fix a picture and re-upload it and it wouldn't let me, it kept sending me back to the previous image that I had uploaded. There's no way to fix an image and upload it again? Pretty lame

the pic8 url code should depend on a checksum of the file, not on the filename or anything like that, so i think it should create a new url

Try to remove/add one pixel width or height from/to the image to see if that helps. However, if you re-stripped the metadata after you edited the image it should have been enough for it to upload again as a new/different image and get a new link. ( https://codewelt.com/stripper(codewelt.com))
