Concur. In fact, the deferment was the best time to pay down the principle - that's what we did, didn't even feel it.

I know a couple people that took the "nothing is going on, I'm going to toss that money on to my loans" route.

They're all doing ok, one is just about paid off - years early. He's not a $10 coffee crowd person.

They do, or did probably...but the gubbmint promised them free money in exchange for a vote.

Not a 'new' monthly bill. A bill that they were already paying, and rightfully so.
