Just one of the reasons I don't fuck around with modern video propaganda bullshit. They're not video games anymore, they are indoctrination software. Complete with other added features such as sucking your wallet dry even after your initial purchase, invading your OS's ring 0 and even more DRM hoops to jump through, not giving you any physical media, cutting you off for criticizing or going against the narrative ... this list goes on and on.
Well, there's all those reasons, plus the fact that I'm just old now. I've made this elaborate RGB CRT TV plus emulator box setup thinking I was going to spend all day and all night playing some old games. Since after the first two weeks of having it, it's just been collecting dust. Had more fun modifying the CRT TV for RGB input and setting up the emulation environment on the PC than I apparently do actually playing the games.
Pretty cool technical ability. I wish games weren't tethered to constant patches and updates that required connection to a server. It was nice when you were given a disk and could play the game on or offline.
