I think I ended up with about $1000, mostly from local places. The rest was paid for out of pocket.

Exactly. My Dad paid for some directly but I paid almost everything else and paid back every fucking dime borrowed. So yeah, fuck these asshole. I never got a single grant or scholarship for anything. Had niggers in the financial aid office tell me I wasn't getting shit because I am white.
