I was working with the signal tracer I posted about recently and managed to get 610 on the crystal radio - 610 is a Columbus news station.

Dewino the pedorino has changed his tune from "There's no haitians!" to "They're just here for jobs, local employers tell me that they're hard working people..."

Where the fuck are you finding jobs in Springfield? That town has been a rock in space for decades. I don't think these vibrant doctorlawyerscientists are getting senior research positions at WPAFB...

Exactly. People working at WPAPB do not live in Springfield or anywhere near it. They are near the base, mostly in the Beavercreek area.

Also, DeWine is basically the Ohio version of the Bush Crime Family in Texas. Not as profitable, but DeWine has been the code word for state corruption for decades.

Not only do they not live in Springfield, the illegals simply have no chance of obtaining those jobs. I've been contacted about a lot of positions over there, and they're always like "Wow...I wish I knew more about that for you."

It's been awhile since I got called for anything in that area but Springfield is an tech desert. The only company near there is Marathon and those people aren't living in Springfield either.

I was shocked to find Newsweek had a decent article on how the local company Springfield Metal was benefiting from the Haitian workforce. The CEO went as far as to imply the American workforce were lazy drug addicts.

"Our Haitian associates come to work every day. They don't have a drug problem. They'll stay at their machine; they'll achieve their numbers. They're here to work. And so, in general, that's a stark difference from what we're used to in our community."

All at no cost to the local community and our tax base. Oh wait...

What's particularly vexing is the U.S. government is funneling taxpayer money to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who help resettle these immigrants and assist them in applying for welfare in the form of food stamps, Medicaid, and housing.

Coming from a country where the hourly wage is around 60 cents, any Haitian would be ecstatic about working in Ohio and earning a minimum wage of $10.45 an hour. Sadly, American workers can't compete for the jobs they're taking at those wages or survive at the resulting lower standards of living.

DeWine's take on this is the embodiment of the RINO crony capitalist policies that have been destroying this country. Imagine my surprise....

The owner of the metal place isn't wrong, per se. Springfield is a dead town where the people who live there are probably the ones who can't leave. The only reason I've ever been there is to stop at Hardee's and get gas on the way to the Hamvention or Air Force Museum. So yes - these illegals who are doing ANY work are probably doing more work than the drug-fueled remnants of a once-vibrant city.

But that's at a damaging cost to an already broken community. What little investment there was in said community is now none, and that's just going to take it down even more until this guy has nothing left but these illegals who will soon tire of working because they're still getting gubbmint gibs.

The self-fulfilling prophecy is here.

Exactly. Any money spent on these Haitians should be invested into helping the local community.

Fun fact! While there on business I was offered drugs and sex while eating at the Texas Road House. I did smoke a joint with this trashy hot woman in their parking lot, but I declined her offer to come to my hotel with me. Great place! What made this even more interesting was the woman clearly knew the bartender there, so I wonder if the bartender cased me up and called this girl to alert her of a possible trick. That was like 10 years year ago. I haven't had a reason to go back, I'm sure it is even worse now.
