Didn't they openly admit that diversity is more important than accuracy, and they would start race mixing the results for muh raycism?
No. I made an account years ago (back when I was less worried about privacy). Over time, changes to the algorithm have made me Whiter and Whiter. Now it shows me at 100% European, and 97% North-Western European.
By my pedigree, I estimate that I am actually 94% North-Western European, 5% Southern European, and 1% New World. Their previous estimates had me with some Southern European (though the wrong subtype) and a tiny crumb of Japanese (standing in for New World?).
Estimates only partially assigned me European ancestry, leaving some unassigned.
Just fyi, any result of less than 5% or so is statistical noise. It has no merit. Arguably, less than 10%-15%. To obtain this level of detail requires higher quality testing, which is not provided by these companies for speed and cost reasons.
And if you do an animal's lineage the threshold is around 20% where they just tell you a generic admixture
They may have but even a broken clock is right twice a day. If your intent is to discredit them you might want to highlight a different data point for the crowd here.
Would have been great to do three simultaneously taken samples under different names. See the spread.
