Too true.. Gun safety is about learning what and how to handle the weapon. Just like food safety is about learning how to properly handle various different food in various different states of preparedness. I've, thankfully, never had to point a real weapon at another person. However, if I was going to be in such a position, I'd want to know how to recognize the difference between a prop and real gun (or bullet). Each time that prop changes hands the person giving and receive should each do their own verification. That's how we do things with real guns and it seems like he should maybe do that as well since apparently he's also using a real gun.
