If I had to speculate on the reasoning behind the back label I'd first guess it's legal CYA.
The only thing I can think of for the warning of using alcohol, is if you're using a low %. They dry slower. And if you put your cart into a machine with a still wet cart it could damage the system. Seeing as not everyone has common sense (Warning Coffee is HOT) I can see the reason for such a warning to cover them legally against idiots.

Sigh, I don't watch TV often. Just the other day I saw a commercial for "child proof" tide pod containers. (With just a quick "click" and your child is safe)
