We've occasionally watched anime on TV night (thursdays ~18:30 eastern). While a lot of people love it, it also has a tendency to completely clear out the channel, because a lot of people don't. Therefore, from now on anime is going to be completely segregated to it's own separate but equal event night.
If anyone has suggestions for what they'd like to watch, series or movies, post them below. Here's a few I'm probably going to start with:
Girls und Panzer (girls fighting each other in tanks, I already have it download and several episodes processed)
Vinland Saga (vikings, ditto)
Rescue Wings (Slice of life anime about a helicopter rescue pilot in the Japanese airforce)
Patlabor (imagine "police academy" except with mechs)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (gritty and cynical political anime set in a dark cyberpunk future, lots of gunporn)

- High School of the Dead (Silly zombie series about a bunch of high school kids surviving an outbreak)
