Only in American countries like America where the law has given exceptional power to the woman over a man after they want to separate. Most countries say after you separate one has no control over the other and anything that the first person brought to the partnership goes away with the person if the two people no longer stay together. America is one of the few countries where a person can decide to leave another person and can still expect to get the benefit of that other person's lifestyle and wealth into the future. It's crazy.
