I'm no engineer in shit construction, but I would assume it works in much the same way as mud. I've seen videos of some random white kid building primitive structures in a tropical forest (likely Australia), using mud, sticks, clay and some stones. I've seen him build huts (some made by bricks that he made by himself) a drying rack room, a blast furnace (which he used to refine metal out of some loose rocks that he harvested from a nearby river, and then make metal tools) and various other structures. Then again, he has access to a fully functioning brain.
