I think selective complaining is best. I've had two heart attacks from a bad artery. I suffered in silence both times for several hours thinking meh it's just heartburn. We men aren't the brightest when it comes to our own bodies.

thinking meh it's just heartburn.

That's how my father's father died, at age 65, 65 years ago this Christmas Eve.

It's how my older brother died in April. He had 24 hours to go to emergency and wouldn't. He was also vaxxed.

I'm sorry for your loss. I never had brothers or sisters so I avoided the pain of losing them ... but now both of my parents and all aunts/uncles have passed. I'm all that is left of my immediate family and that rather sucks, especially being newly single around the Holidays. Lots of reflection on wonderful Holidays past

Stupid quote. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. That's the reality of the world.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Until it squeaks once too often and gets replaced.

The image makes it seem like the quote was said by some stoic Roman general, but it was actually said by Lettie Cowman (en.wikipedia.org), a female American missionary from Iowa.

I got nothing against the gal, but is there any particular reason we should be listening to her quotes?

Honestly, with my experiences living in a liberal city through the Covid debacle, I wish I had complained more loudly, instead of suffering in silence because of my own fear.

I went fearless through covid and spoke out to those closest to me. I lost my long term gf of 17 years because of it.

I spoke out occasionally but I should've been much louder and much less fearful. I figured it was best to mind my own business, and it was, until all those faggots decided to mind my business, and ask me if I had the jab or not.

Cost me my relationship with my Father.

Regardless, I should've been louder and less apologetic with my complaints.

Which is why I think the quote is stupid.
