When I was a kid I thought those commercials had to do with all the kidnapping commercials and talk show warnings we had at the time.

Nope they were to remind your parents they had responsibility

When I was a kid parents taught us right from wrong and let us have our freedom. We mostly policed ourselves or talked to any adult if there was a bigger problem. There was still pedos of course but nothing like today.

Yeah, I would pop the screen off my window and walk the seven miles into town to get high and drink beer with my buddys. I had a buddy who at 17 never got carded at the beer store even though the drinking age was 21 at that time. He used to worry about what he would look like when he got older. He didn't need to worry, he didn't get much older...
