God created man from the "dust of the earth." That statement is not at odds with observed science. What we tend to forget is the massive time scale on which God can work. What's a "day" to God? Why should he be bound by his own creation of a rotating Earth? Time plus rules He designed and set in motion can produce whatever end organism he planned. No, monkeys are not turning into men. But we were built by the same machine fueld by time and governed by rules created by God.
Understanding how a hammer and nail work does not negate the plan and craftsmanship of the homebuilder. Don't constrain God to simple magic. He has shown us enough to make it clear His Creation is far more complex than hocus pocus.
I agree we should not shackle God to our limits of understanding. Just wanting to make sure the priority is God and His word first. There have been too many attempts at forcing God's word to fit man's mistaken science, only to see those theories and accepted assumptions and facts be proven false.
Agree. I look at it as parent watching a child figure out a puzzle. Mistakes are made along the way but there's also satisfaction gained from seeing some of the harder bits figured out.
If it is still of interest to us one day it will all be explained- the bits we got right and the places where we read it wrong.
