It was forced for sure. My southern family might not have gotten so angry had they not shoved it down our throats. They forced me in 1967 to go to a negro school. Culture shock. Before that I had good grades in all white classes in Nevada and other places (we moved a lot). Downhill after that.
None of my WW11 and Korean War generation family supported it, they hated it, they were angry, they heavily supported and loved George Wallace, they rejoiced when the Kennedy's were killed, not exaggerating. Also because he was Roman Catholic and JFK's first allegiance was to Rome (had to be). But he pushed the civil rights crap.
Forced integration was hated by colored families that wanted it the way it was, they didn't give a damn if they couldn't drink out of white water fountains. (This was all blown out of proportion, what makes people think they wanted to mix it up with whitey?). Families and businesses were destroyed.
I was scolded once btw by an old 'black' man whom I called black. "You see any 'black' on my skin? Don't call me black, call me colored."

Just like the hippies, they were blown out of proportion, in order to scare people and make them able to bend and mold. The bands of the sixties were heavily promoted by the cabal controlled media to effect change.

That's a parameter I often forget to factor, how people saw it when it actually happened, not how documentaries paint it to be
What did they hate the most in JFK?
Well my folks hated him just as much because he was Roman Catholic as he was liberal. (Bad sentence structure there.)
I think he was pushed or forced into it. Then Johnson came and they really revved it up, and the war.
Kennedy was young charismatic blah blah and people resented that, especially here in Texas.
I think he was sincere about many things, my opinion is that he was 'installed' like all the others but then went off the reservation.
There's a great book about his changing to a peacenik, supposedly he dropped some acid with Timothy Leary, Leary and JFK's mistress heavily influence him. "Mary's Mosaic."
Another great book about his ideology and the complexities and contradictions is "JFK and the Unspeakable," one of the best.
Kennedy was pretty unhealthy as well, young and too brave too I imagine.

I remember reading something along those lines in High Times magazine back in the 70s, although I don't recall Leary's name being part of the story.
Also read that Teddy had been surreptitiously dosed prior to driving off the bridge in Chappaquiddick.

This is what I explain to people and get enormous kickback, especially from one particular author who idolized JFK. Says it's made up to slander him. Lol the girl in the pool actually admits what happened (JFK had her take care of his friend after she took care of JFK).

You make interesting point. Somehow I always think that big number of blacks don't want "integration - mixing".... Not because racism more like because people feel mre comfortable near people which are like them. Of course blacks want some "privileges" but not literally mixing with other races. But THEY have a different plan for all people.

Exactly. They are simple people, simple minded, so, likely for most "three hots and a cot" would be sufficient (with some cheap wine and smokes thrown in).
It's just the way they are 'built.' I've been around them. They are more just 'wanna chill' so if they have the basic necessities they (used to be) okay.
