I see 2 torsos with necks there already. Explain that. Because heads were carved in do hide what was already there. His story is made up. Nigg.

And the chipping never ends. Every winter the facade erodes so workers need to smooth the surface again. If they did not perform maintenance the faces would look like zombies by now.
