False. Brown eggs are related to breed of the hen. Yolk pigmentation is related to diet. White egg laying hens can have orange yolks if they are free range and eat plenty of insects. Brown egg laying hens can have pale yolks if they are grain fed.

Can confirm, we let our chickens run free and you'd get giant eggs with dark yolks, sometimes double yolk.
