I mean, is nobody going to comment on how profoundly stupid the question is, by itself?

Explosive propelled weaponry wouldn't be invented for another 8 or 9 centuries, let alone AR-15s.

But you say: "Oh, that's obvious. It could have been any weapon. The point was Christ didn't own any."

First of all, just because it isn't specified doesn't mean he didn't. Perhaps Christ would have defended his home with a frame saw or an iron nail. That's not really the point.

The point is, if Christ didn't have any weapons, it's because he was the Son of God, and he came to die. Christ didn't tell anybody else to sell their weapons to the Roman centurions or to hand over their swords to the Pharisees because nobody ever needed one.

God's plan required a whip, a crown of thorns, nails, a cross, and a spear.

Christ told his fucking followers to sell their clothes in order to buy swords.

It's always funny when liberal faggots pretend like they understand Christianity enough to turn it around on people.

It's always funny to think of a group of bronze-age mediterraneans running around with their balls out and swords in their hands.

yup, Jesus then also specifically told his followers to put down their swords when one of them sliced the ear off of one of the guards apprehending him.

When Jesus' followers saw what was going to happen, they said, "Lord, should we strike with our swords?" And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, "No more of this!" And he touched the man's ear and healed him.

He specifically allowed himself to be captured. Jesus could have certainly staged a revolution if had chosen. This was probably Judas' goal; to force Jesus' hand. Judas wanted power, not the paltry amount of silver he received. He also probably wanted that power for Jesus, rather than himself. But made a big fucking mistake.

Are you saying Christ needed to die?

If so, I'm on your side.

E: Yeah, you said the correct thing. All good. Nevermind.
