ugh, I just hate the uncertainty of it all. I have all these UTGMA accounts for my grandkids and so far I have been doing very well with them. I hate the thought that it could all just be wiped out in some big market crash. I could pull it all out and let it sit in the accounts as cash to reinvest when it bottoms out, but who the fuck knows when that is going to be. I could sit on it for 2 weeks to 2 years.
It's frustrating.
I am comforted by knowing that if everything crashes, we can reset the values and start using money that is worth something again so that less than one week worth of wages cover all of our living expenses for a month, and the other 3 weeks are bonus money to invest and/or enjoy.
What’s gold worth? Only as much value as people instill in it.
Like turquoise to feather niggers.
The one thing that will always be valuable, is knowledge of how to fix shit and accomplish things like getting clean water and food.
ha,, I don't think so. Your mortgage isn't going to go down. The electric bill is not going to get any smaller. There will be just as many worthless dollars floating around out there that will probably be worth even less than they are now.
To make the money valuable again, it will need to be minted and backed by precision metals.
