I should also go to church again.
I’m not religious in the sense of an afterlife, but I do believe in a higher being. And it feels good to be with other church-goers, they are seriously the kindest people.
I stopped going for about 11 years. Started attending again a few months ago because something told me the investment in time and social energy would pay off. Already has.
In Lutheran belief, that would be explained as the Holy Spirit working to bring me back; nobody chooses to believe or not believe.
They really are wholesome folks; depends somewhat on the congregation but it's possible to get a good feel for what they're like in the interactive Bible study or adult Sunday school.
If you're on Poal, chances are a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod congregation would fit pretty well.
Haha, funny enough but I’m already a Lutheran. My parents were regular attendants through my life up until I left for college at 18. Been confirmed and all, on top of doing a couple of mission trips for the synod and bible camps.
Some of the most wholesome memories I have, for sure. Lost my faith during those late teen years when I was absorbed within the liberal indoctrination scheme. Slowly finding my way back
