When I was a kid, I had a G.I. Joe action figure named Tunnel Rat. At the time, I knew about the Vietnam War but didn't know the history about tunnel rats until I saw something about them on some history documentary. It made sense afterwards why he was pretty minimally equipped.
Anyhow, fast forward to today, where we now know more about a different genre of rats and now the term Tunnel Rats has taken on a whole new meaning.
