I think I saw something (drag race?) on TV about that. DRAINED the batteries completely, and not recommended usage (damage?) Car was out of juice at the end of the race, but it WON the drag race (against gas dragster).

I kinda like the Hydrogen option. WOrking out the supply logistics (lot of hardware) seems to be the only challenge I can think off.
