It's a bit unfair to say that Nixon abandoned the Gold Standard, he was just the fall guy the Jews lined up.
FDR took us off of the Gold Standard in the 1930s, and Nixon was forced to end the soft-link of the dollar to gold because faggot communist Charles de Gaulle purposefully reclaimed so much gold from the US that we could no longer maintain the fiction of that soft link.
IOW, that graph is on point except that it does not call out FDR when it really ought to.
