I remember watching that exact Hitler speech on The Hitler Channel (as THC used to be referred too) with English subtitles and asking my gramma how certain we were that is what he was actually saying. Her response was we had translators back then so that's what he's saying. My next question was but can we trust the translators?
I had the same thoughts and questions but I was told "It must be correct", I disagreed. And for some reason, even though I had not a drop of German language education back then, When I watched those Hitler videos, I always imagined he was just saying nice things and was passionate about it. My intuition didn't pickup evil as I was being told.
The German language is very harsh sounding to an outsider and apparently speaking it with passion about something looks like your shouting about the extermination of a whole race of people.
It was like he was shouting about the extermination of Europeans and Germans specifically...
