A person is not alive by itself. All throughout a person's life, there were countless souls that touched them, both human and non-human. We are connected to everything around us at any given moment through physical or mental proximity. Even when we are distanced away from each other, the air we share is not any different. The communicable disease does its job to slough off the weak and the old just like a snake shedding its skin. It creates more room for the newer generation.
Death eventually comes to us all no matter how much you can delay it. But if we lose our freedom to connect with each other, we lose everything that creates meaning for us while we're alive. Do you want to live your life fading away by yourself with no one to talk to? Or would you rather die after having lived a rich and meaningful life with interesting memories?
