The thing is lots of young chinks born around the year 2000 never really experienced what it's like to be starving. Food is plenty at a very cheap price (not talking about the health issues due to questionable ingredients).
Having kids has been deeply rooted to have someone to support you when you get older. But it has become really expensive.
I might be wrong, but I think that with all the cheap AI and robotic techs they are promised today, they don't see why they should work so hard raising kids, when they can selfishly enjoy life, and just get a robot home assistant later on when they will get older.
