Well no wonder it went bankrupt. The "AI" (if designed by White people) would probably have worked better in every way.

Predictable.

If I had heard of this company I would have guessed this immediately. I bet they started thinking that LLMs could actually think and program like humans. Then they immediately discovered that was not the case but thought LLMs just need another year or so to advance, so they started hiring pajeets to do the programming “Just for now”. Some people at the company may have realized LLMs are never going to be able to program, but by that point it was too late. They were far too invested so they tried to run the company like a Mechanical Turk.

This is not even the first “AI” company I have heard of that did something like this. Another one had a simple mobile device people could talk to to do common tasks like sending messages and purchasing things online. They claimed AI was performing all of the tasks and that it could do anything a human assistant could. In the background it was all regular programming that used various web APIs.

This is insanity, but it’s regular news in the world of large language models. The whole industry is a scam.
