Many, many years ago, flight was elegant. Then it became pleasant. Then it was convenient, then expedient and currently it is better than riding a bus. Implementing this "feature" will make it exactly like riding a bus.

If a bus ride was 10+ hours. This shit started with the airline Freddy Laker back in the early '80s, it was a very cheap way to fly but you only had to pack your own lunch.
Now this shit. The slippery slope is real.
Your airline ticket also used to cost what a first class ticket does now, or more. It was elegant because only the elegantly equipped (well-off) could fly.
When the cattle fly, you fly cattle class.
Au contraire. It was the exact opposite. Us peasants had very comfortable seats with legroom. Meals. Gratis drinks. Reasonable ticket prices. Walked right through the airport to the gate and got onboard. None of that was first class. I know because I did it frequently,
