I have great insurance. The prices always go up when they see it. When I lived in GA and needed surgery, nothing was covered by insurance because at the time the company I work for didn't have hospitals in GA and so my insurance was useless. They called me a week after the surgery and knocked the bill down to 1/3 of what it was if I paid right then. Which I did. It was crazy that they could just reduce the bill. The dentist is the same. They charge my insurance one thing for a cleaning but they don't cover all my cleanings in a year and when that happens the price gets reduced by half for me to pay out of pocket.
