Is there more to the story from the school boards side? Was the kid being a dick about it and wouldn't leave, so they trespassed him? Because if not this is indeed insanity.

Only have the right-wing report on this at the moment but really, unless the kid got violent and made a bunch of threats to the Board (which the cops didn't arrest him for) why would 3 cop cars show up...
...unless of course the Board was breaking Federal and State law. That's when they call the cops.

This isn't uncommon where I live. The police don't have a lot to do, half the department will respond when they get a call.
