These people are psychotic to say the least, I grew up in L.A. and I remember when I was a kid my lungs burning from the smog. When, as an adult, I moved to S.F. there was never any smog for the 3+ years that I lived there. Zero. I would often ride up to the peak of Potrero hill just for the view and the most I would ever see was a mild haze. Contrast that from the view from the Griffith Park Observatory in the hills around L.A. when on some days I couldn't even see the high rises in Downtown. Why you might ask? Offshore winds blow that crap right into the Pacific, this is just a bunch of liberals passing laws just to justify their own paychecks.
