Sigh. This isn't even remotely that. Not even close. Were they to have made a "new avenue for recreating ... life." they wouldn't need living tissue or any life created building blocks. They could do so with basic atoms from the start.

Though this is fucked for different reasons. Kill the scientists behind this immediately.
