Good for you, I was a homeschool 'pioneer' back in about '83.
Just yanked my two kids right out one day. We got letters from the superintendent that we were 'in violation' lol.
Gee I thought that I, not you all, owned my kids.
So guess who, a few years later, wanted ME to do their remodel on their house? Yes, the superintendent figured I'd be the most honest one, and so we did his job.
Back then the DA over Bexar County (San Antonio) was a homeschooler, we were taken care of, and Jay Sekulow was buddies with the DA.
Crazy world. Two of my kids have masters degrees, one's an engineer, they're all successful and now they all homeschool.
Great story. I'm planning on heading to Texas in the near future. Great homeschool laws there. ;)
Yes, come on down lol.
As soon as I can, I'll be heading that way to look at houses. Was supposed to come there this week. Soon hopefully. ;)
Good to know I'll be in good company if I find the right place there.
