I already posted about my . I routinely must make reservations using my credit card. Now I read some restaurants are charging a $100 minimum per person fee!

It's just greed. I have a buddy who worked as a waiter at a nice place and would make really good tips.

After the restaurant re-opened after being shut down for covid stuff, they decided - no more tips, everyone is going to make $35,000/yr, and we're going to add 24% to every bill. That way they get to virtue signal that they pay a "fair wage", and pocket what would have been tips. My buddy turned it down because he's a great worker and could make more elsewhere.

I just checked their reviews - terrible service, terrible food, and everyone hates the 24% surcharge.
