No, not really. I have a couple of books I found on fullchan before it got shut down, that tries to boil everything down to the bare basics. One was straight up just the posts from one guy, that got put into a book. Both books do recommend several times to go the long way (that occult reading list I posted, and a few books on chakras/kundalini), as just jumping into it without the background knowledge will have you too skeptical for it to work properly, but I figure read the short book first, meditating on it, and then reading the big books to confirm should do well, too. Worked for me very well on other things.
