The giants of Norse mythology are big, ugly and greedy (usually). Jealous of the gifts possessed by Gods and men, they must be constantly held in their own world by force.
There's the bridge Bifrost, which Gods can cross but giants can't, the walls surrounding Asgard and Midgard, and Thor's many excursions abroad to thin their numbers. Without these things keeping them at bay, the giants would overrun our world.
The giants of the viking age were frost and fire powers. What are the giants of our time and who or what is protecting us from them?
