Husband is the bigger moron for leaving his wife in that predicament. You don’t detain someone by pointing a gun at them. This isn’t a fucking movie. If she had a gun trained on this dude, she should have been prepared to shoot him as soon as he twitched. It’s ridiculous to leave this decision to a woman. These two might go to jail over this since they chased the guy. Even in Texas.
They could have just shot him in their yard if that was their intention. Instead they kept him in eyesight until he could be properly detained and one of the parties was forced to defend the other party when the suspect overpowered her and took control of her weapon. No jail for these guys. Hope the creep is dead.
I am not sure that in Houston you can chase a peeping Tom across town and then gun him down in a parking lot. Once you start chasing someone with a gun drawn the self defense angle gets kinda hard to prove.
