I'm pretty partial to the Kel-Tec Sub2000 and the Ruger PC Carbine (obviously I lost mine in a boating accident). 7.62, 5.56, and .308 are all fine and dandy, but the cost is night and day vs. 9mm. And if we were in an actual situation where we needed to use guns against people you won't be able to go out and buy ammo. 9mm will be available in abundance. Chances are the guy you just dispatched will have some 9mm on him.
Friends don't let friends buy kel-tec. They have some interesting "we just did 4 rails of coke and come up with this crazy idea" designs but their production is straight fucking garbage.
I don't know. Must be some internet rumor you mistook as facts. I (had) my Kel-Tec for quite a while. Ran hundreds of rounds through it without issue. Disassembly and cleaning is a breeze. What exactly about their production is garbage?
I've had two Kel-Tec pistols and both were junk. Absolute rust magnets on the metal parts, and a broken spring and cracked mag well on one gun.
This was like 10 years ago, so maybe it has improved since then.
