Yeah, I have a couple of M1As, as that is a platform I have trained with. In an end of the world scenario where I live there is a possibility of having to deal with animals gone feral such as cattle. I have had "domestic" cattle try to kill me while helping neighbors work their herds. I can only imagine how they would be after going full feral. We already have feral hogs and they can reach 200 pounds or more and they run in herds. A sow with piglets will kill you if she sees you as a threat to her brood. I have killed hogs with 7.62X39 but none that big. I have confidence that .308 will handle anything around here if I do my part. Remember, a survival weapon is the one you have with you when a survival situation presents itself...
