Ok, I am really on the rope for this one. If you serve your time for your infractions then I suppose I support that you should not be barred from your right. However, at the same time.. This guy is a repeat armed offender which shows that he is not trustable with a weapon. This is a gray zone. What does everyone think?

Im more on the side of... he should not be in society because of his actions over the "he has a right to arms".

Also, No idea if this is the best sub for this? Maybe there should be a GunNews or GunDiscussion or something? If there is a better place.. move it or let me know and ill remove and repost it.

From the post: "A serial armed robber has escaped a mandatory 15-year prison sentence for illegally owning a gun after a Chicago judge said convicted felons are also protected by the Second Amendment.

Glen Prince, 37, already had three armed robberies and the aggravated battery of a police officer on his record when he was arrested for robbing three men on a CTA train in September 2021.

Police found cocaine, a stolen credit card, a cache of bullets and a fully loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson on him when they arrested him, despite the federal law banning felons from possessing handguns."

White people have the right to bear arms. Niggers should not own firearms.

I was thinking that too since this could be the "let felons have guns so we can push that guns should be illegal" angle. I just want not really sure.

This case is particularly interesting because there's an argument to be made that the Constitution recognizes the right to keep and bear arms, and that if politicians want to weasel in a due process exception they need to pass a Constitutional Amendment.

While the specific defendant sounds like the typical violent career criminal leftists love, the interesting implication if this precedent stands is that the 2A is inviolable even in the face of felony convictions, Red Flag laws, the ATF, etc.

Yep. Despite what kind of "win" this could be I am forever expecting that it is being done to try to further regulate or take guns away by using shock value. "What do you mean he's allowed to have guns still! We must do something!" kind of outrage mob. At least now if a Dem tries to push gun control we can just call them racist.

Funny how constitution and amendments become relevant when a nigger is involved, now suddenly everyone remembers that they can override laws.

Its almost as if laws are applied more based on race (anti-White hate) rather than impartially.

"Judge lemme off after saying they bitchass couldn't find a new nethernigga verdict or sumshit"

Holding ourselves to the highest standards when dealing with literal animals. Common laws is created for the constituents by the constituents.

If the penalty for committing an armed robbery was death, this would not be an issue.

I suppose that you have a point there as well.
