Magpul PMAGs are all you should buy.

You can also replace the magazine springs in your current mags, btw.

Came to second this. Pmags all the way.

Also buy a Maglula LULA Gen 2 Magazine Loader. Your thumbs will thank you.

Loading any 556 mag is easy peasy. No need for a jewish made contraption.

Go load a couple hundred rounds into new mags. Maybe you like suffering, or maybe your springs are old.

[–] 0 pt

Do you have any solid literature handy on the latter subject?

I'm not your personal research assistant. Magpul makes their PMAGs for the US and other militaries. If you want to buy an off-brand and have failure to feed, fire, and eject, or won't load 30 rounds, go for it.

I get NYPA but at risk of sounding like a nigger, help a brother out. We're all hurting out here. I was referring to your spring replacing mention.

MagPul is an excellent brand with high quality control. Make sure you keep your magazines clean and your rounds clean; if you put lube on the magazine port then extract the magazine it will gum things up. They work best when dry. Next, make sure you don't pack your magazine full of rounds -- IOW, if it is a 30-round, push in 27 rounds; always leave the spring room to breathe.

If you use a rotary 100-round magaine as I have for my SKS, don't turn the wind-up handle tight; just keep a little tension on it until it is time to really let loose. And very importantly, make sure your last 3 rounds in the magazine are tracers so you know when to get ready to get ready and pull the mag for a quick change. Oh yeah, and have that second magazine really ready for a quick change too, not stuck in your back pocket or back pack or up your ass-crack where you cant get to it very very quickly.

Points to remember:

  1. Load ammo into the magazines with either cotton or nitrile gloves so there are no fingerprints on the ejected cases or the rounds which will be injected into targets (niggers, politicians, etc and (((judenscheiss))) ... ) Just saying, think OPSEC and don't dox yourself right off of the first round you fire.

  2. Don't drop your empty magazines; aside from the fact that a good one is expensive, dropping will damage the feeder fingers. You will for sure need them later (to reload) when the first run of 50 or so niggers have eviscerated by hollow-points on the front lawn. Remember to handle the magazines with nitriel or cotton gloves so as to avoid finger prints.

  3. Vary your ammunition; don't rely entirely upon one specific brand or vendor. First, it is bad OPSEC to buy lots of ammo from the same place and the same brand. Second, Nameless East European or Chink ammo almost always works for close firefights and can't usually be traced. I know, in a firefight you want "reliability" -- but you are not shooting the National Matches at Camp Perry, only killing bandits, (((jews))), niggers, etc

  4. Watch where your tracers go (last 3 rounds in mag, remember?); they will for sure catch something on fire wherever they land unless it is inside a nigger, (((jew))), etc., etc., et. al.

  5. Keep your fire rate down to a short burst of 1, 2, or 3 rounds if firing on full auto; even when faced with a crowd of 50 thieving niggers on your lawn, aimed quick fire is always better than "spray and pray". This goes double for long guns with heavy recoil such as a .30 caliber or larger.

  6. Always have a back up plan in case your primary weapon fucks up in some way or another; know how to quickly clear your weapon, but if -- for example -- a round gets jammed inside the suppressor -- know ahead of time what you will do. Fire another round to clear it? Unscrew the suppressor? Sling the weapon over your arm and raise your back up long gun? Run?

Hang on, hang on. I can't load 30 rounds and it shouldn't be well lube'd?

[–] 1 pt

Correct, load 27 rounds into the 30-round mag; last 3 are tracers. If you pack and unpack your mag frequently (like every week or so) then you won't have a mag spring failure. I know this from experience, BTW, with an M14 during the Tet Offensive of 1968.

Also, I get the logistics. That is why if I were ever to theoretically in Minecraft program a 3D printer to make the furniture, I would have someone else purchase the firing bits to make a pretend HK.

Surefeed is pretty good, duramag as well. Duramag has both stainless and aluminum offerings. Also run some Magpul.

[–] 1 pt

Unfortunately Surefeeds are no longer made. They are solid mags if you can find some though.

[–] 0 pt

That's right, I thought I heard someone else was making them.

[–] 1 pt

There was a rumor that Brownells or PSA was buying the brand and machinery but I'm not sure if that ever materialized.

[–] 1 pt

Depends on what you're looking for (as in material) - all my 5.56 are Magpul. They work just fine, hold up well, and they have held fine loaded for 2+ years. Also, I never load to max, always one less than.

[–] 1 pt

I find it easier to time my bursts and reload cadence with a nice solid number loaded. I'll check out Magpul though. Someone else suggested them as well.

I like good old GI STANAG magazines with anti tilt follower, they can be rebuilt over and over. PMags are a solid choice. HexMags carbon fiber are great for your ultralight build or loading out as many as possible. Weight isn't an issue. It's a Colt Match Target. The thing is already like fifty pounds.

I could probably fire a .223 out of that barrel at mach 7 without issue, it's so thick.

Aluminum if you’re not a magpul fan

lancer has halloween bundles: https://lancer-systems.com/product/l5awm-halloween-bundle-30/

also, i’ve been getting 40-round magpuls at cabellas for $20. not sure if they are still on special.

[–] 0 pt

They look gimmicky. Do you have any experience with them?

[–] 1 pt

i have a couple lancer 5.56 mags i have never had any issues with. the halloween colors are just different plastic color.

[–] 1 pt

They actually perform worse in cold weather drop tests than PMAGs. I personally don't think they're worth the premium though I have several.

[–] 0 pt

What happened is that this mag no longer wants to hold more than maybe five or six rounds. Try to shove any more in, and you're getting low velocity lead in your face. She used to be able to squeeze 30 up there inside her and hold tight. I guess the thighs wore out.

[–] 0 pt

Do you only have one magazine?

[–] 0 pt

No. I have several. This one was my favorite though.
