Glad I stocked up before the panic...

Interesting but alarmist. Ammo is always going to be produced; getting it while the getting is good might be a chore. However, if you have at least 5,000 rounds of .223 at hand that will be sufficient for yours and family's needs. Also spare barrels too. 5,000 rounds will do fine -- up to when the A-10's which Homeland Security have sequestered and will be flown to "domestic terrorist homesteads", etc.

Yes, it's just going to make supplies tighter. Then again, it's a government owned ammo plant, no one should be surprised that they prioritize their own contracts over civilian ones.

one of the reasons to diversify calibers. Of course only after getting a 9mm and a 5.56. I started with 45, 357mag, 40, 357sig, and 10mm in pistols. Long guns 308, 30-06, 30-30, 9mm and next a 357. All with at least 1k rounds, with the 9mm and 5.56 above 10k in reserve. I intend to arm my entire family if needed. Before the boating accident of course.

Dang, you lost your guns in a boating accident? RIP....mine were all on the Hindenburg. Tragic.
