I have it in my head I need a tactical lever gun. I don't know why, but the idea tickles my imagination. The Henry already has the threaded barrel and the pistol grip. I'd add a skeleton butt stock and mlock fore end. I'd most likely go with a 357, and possibly a S & W 627 or 327 as a matching side arm.

I love my custom Model 92 in .357.

I wouldn't say it's a matter of need, more like a matter of want...

Who made your 92? I am looking at the Rossi, and if it is a Rossi do they need the custom work, or is it a next level thing?

It's a Winchester. Made in 1921. Dad was a gunsmith and built it from parts.

Wow that's a keeper on many levels. Enjoy it, I am very jealous.

"Tactical lever gun" lol.

Lever guns are very reliable. You should have one.

I have a Winchester 94 in 30-30 with a 5 million range serial, well used deer hunting when my eyes were better and i could quietly stalk them. Now i use a 308 with a LPVO because they still do pop out at 25 yards and saunter by at 300 yards. This lever would be a range toy, possible staged in a solo safe near the back door.

I've used a mossberg 464 in 30-30. VERY underrated weapon. I actually prefered it to the Winchester and Henry I've fired in the past. Sadly I don't think they're making them new anymore, and I don't think they come in .357. But if you can get your hands on one of the tactical models (you'll know it when you see it), you won't regret it, as long as you don't mind using 30-30

I have heard must about Mossberg levers, have not had a chance to try one. I have a Winchester in 30/30, as a truck/pig gun. This one would be a range toy, and staged in the house for security.
