That's funny, I was thinking of importing something from Brazil. Taurus has had a shit reputation for a long while, but it looks like it all turned around with the pt-111. Friend of mine sings it's praises. I shot it a few times and it definitely wasn't as smooth as some higher priced options, but if it's reliable for the low, low price of 2 hi-points, it can't hurt to pick up one more.

Yeah, the new PT-111/G2/G3 seem to be pretty solid for the price range you Americans are paying.

The only PT111 on the Brazilian market is the G2c for now, for around US$700, and boy let me tell you, it became the fucking right arm of the Brazilian folk, breaking record sales and the number one firearms sold here. (Its also the cheapest semiauto selling right now, so it helps a lot).

The thing is, it became a symbol of the cultural firearms renaissance here, and it rides on the hip of many common joe even without a license.

I bought one a couple weeks ago. I'll tell you how I like it in a couple months when I finally get the paperwork done for it, lol.

Thanks man I appreciate that. But HOLY MOTHER OF STICKER SHOCK, $700!?!?? I regularly see one of the three generations on sale here for ~$200. Could buy a decent entry level AR for that amount.

Cute.

The cheapest AR in the market here is the Taurus made one, the T4.

It goes for around US$4.500.

But at least I can get an Imbel Parafal for a little more than that.

And about pistols, the next cheapest semiauto in 9mm is the TS9, and it goes for around US$1k.

Glocks and other "imported" brands go higher than that.
