True enough. FT8 is an interesting transmission mode since it appears to work in spite of a lot of noise. It requires little power too.

Oh I remember that. Not sure I'd classify that as a meme, and I can sort of see the issue. Trying to tell people you can vote via text message doesn't fall under humorous fun. It's kind of like falsely screaming fire in a theater. But I also think the punishment was way too extreme
